SkyRecon extends its vulnerability watch to the Google Chrome environment

2 June 2010
Vulnerability watch is a strategic activity that the SkyRecon R&D teams are engaged in on an ongoing basis. The SkyRecon teams work hand in hand with the world’s largest software suppliers (Microsoft, Adobe, Google, etc.) to detect vulnerabilities that can jeopardize the integrity of environments used on a daily basis by enterprises and government agencies worldwide.
As they have done for other leading software developers in the past, last week the SkyRecon R&D team was credited with having helped identify various vulnerabilities in the Google Chrome environment.
See the press release for details on the Google Chrome update and security fixes.

In addition to strengthening the security of Internet browsers and applications used extensively throughout the world, this fundamental work allows SkyRecon to design generic protection mechanisms. These mechanisms are then integrated directly into the award winning StormShield Endpoint Security product, thus enabling SkyRecon to offer an increasingly reliable and high-performance security solution.

"SkyRecon's Research and Development team is now widely recognized in the field of vulnerability watch. Indeed, it is regularly credited with the discovery of critical vulnerabilities in the Vista and XP operating systems, and in applications such as Internet Explorer or Acrobat Reader," says Yann Torrent, R&D Director at SkyRecon. "Our team's countless contributions have allowed the largest international software producers to identify and correct vulnerabilities affecting the products they deploy on millions of systems. We aim to continue our efforts in this area and in so doing continue on the cutting edge of information technology security."
