SkyRecon Systems announced its ongoing support of Microsoft’s Network Access Protection (NAP), an extensible standard-based technology that will enable enterprises to access their corporate network more securely. As enterprise network perimeters become more open to many types of threats, there will continue to be a growing need for an architecture that ensures each PC complies with corporate security policy before it can access the network. Network Access Protection (NAP) is a policy enforcement platform built into Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows Server Code Name "Longhorn" operating systems that enables organizations to better protect their network assets by enforcing compliance with system security requirements. SkyRecon’s StormShield Security Suite is an advanced endpoint security solution for enterprises that will support Microsoft's Network Access Protection program. It provides a complete solution to combat the risks posed by hackers, targeted attacks, spyware, malicious codes or non-compliant use by employees. “Through tight integration with endpoint security systems, the Microsoft Network Access Protection initiative enables organizations to significantly improve protection of their network infrastructure,” said Philippe Honigman, COO and co-founder of SkyRecon Systems. “As a provider of advanced endpoint security solutions for the Microsoft Windows environment, SkyRecon is fully committed to supporting this program. SkyRecon’s integration with NAP will helpdeliver of in-depth, integrated defense of the architecture urgently required by our customers today.” “Mobile workers present a unique set of security and support challenges to corporate IT departments. As more and more workers demand greater flexibility to connect while working away from the office, the risk of compromising the security of the corporate network also increases,” said Mike Schutz, senior product manager, Windows Server Division at Microsoft Corp. “Microsoft is pleased SkyRecon Systems has joined the Network Access Protection program and will extend Network Access Protection technology to SkyRecon System’s customers.”
