SkyRecon nominated for the IST Prize

big_ist.gifParis, October 2004 - SkyRecon Systems, European first behavioural security software editor announces it was nominated among the 70 most promising companies in Europe for the IST prize. The European Information Society Technology (IST) Prize is the highest European distinction for innovative products and services in the field of Information Technologies.

The European IST Prize is organised by Euro-CASE, the European Council of Applied Sciences, Technologies and Engineering, with the sponsorship and support of the IST Programme of the European Commission.

The European IST Prize is the most distinguished Prize for innovative products and services in the field of Information Society Technologies. The Prize is open to companies or organisations that present an innovative IT product with a promising market potential.

SkyRecon was selected by independent European experts from 430 companies, to be among the 70 nominees from Finland, France, Ireland, Israel, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

"European IST Prize participants attract international recognition and great interest from venture capitalists. High standards and tough screening of candidates for innovation and market potential make this contest a breeding ground for technological excellence, and hence industrial competitiveness", said Enterprise and Information Society Commissioner, Olli Rehn.

“Being part of the 70 nominated companies and receiving the "European IST Prize Nominee" label represents the recognition of our Research & Development efforts in the behavioural security field, says Philippe Honigman, COO of SkyRecon.
