SkyRecon Systems joins the ESA

16 Mar 2006
The European Software Association is playing a key role in unifying shaping the future of European technology through the promotion of European software. It is also contributing to the development and promotion of the European Software Industry as the trusted advisor to EU institutions and other stakeholders for issues related to software.

The European Software Association and its members will increasingly contribute to achieving EU policies and support Europe’s economic and social goals through ISV products and business models, as well as through wider partnerships with governments, local communities and the local IT industry. The association will also help to accelerate European research and innovation.

“As the ICT sector is a key driver for growth and jobs in Europe, the industry needs to leverage its economic impact on the EU at a political level,” said European Software Association Chairman Jeremy Roche, CEO of the Coda Group. “This is what the Association increasingly does for its members on a wide variety of issues, such as innovation and R&D, skills and employability and intellectual property rights.”

“We feel that on all subjects covered by the Association, software vendors have so much to contribute. We believe that the creation of this association is the best form to represent our interests, not only those of the industry, but of our clients and partners,” explains SkyRecon Systems CEO Ravy Truchot. “With research and development teams located in France and representation in the UK and Benelux, SkyRecon Systems is a fully committed European player and we are happy to join European Software Association.”

“The fact that both large international and smaller companies have joined the Association demonstrates that the industry at large recognises the need for an organisation serving the interests of ISV businesses to educate EU policy makers, network and share information," underlined Jeremy Roche.

About the European Software Association

Created in October 2005, the European Software Association is the voice of the European Independent Software Vendor (ISV) community. ISV members of the Association work with EU policy makers and other European stakeholders to foster an environment that supports innovation and competitiveness within the European software industry, and that supports the needs of other European business communities.

Overall, this is a great product. It provides all the controls necessary to protect systems and the data processed on or passing through them. I highly recommend this solution for organizations of any size.
