Resellers realize margins from 15 to 35 percent or higher

Founded in 2003 in Paris, SkyRecon has some 50 partners in 40 countries reselling StormShield primarily in Europe. In March the company raised $6.5 million in a second round of venture financing (from Ventech and ACE Management) to establish its headquarters in the U.S. and to develop a North American channel presence. Last year the company signed strategic partnerships with Microsoft, Juniper, and Aventail to support engineering, sales and marketing activities.

SkyRecon's product StormShield is the first proactive, multi-layer, real-time defense system for network endpoints. StormShield addresses every aspect of endpoint protection, from intrusion prevention to application and device control, to content encryption, all through a single agent.

Elements of the SkyRecon channel partner program include:
- High margins, from 15% to 35% and higher
- Free sales and pre-sales training
- Upsell opportunities and recurring revenues through add-on services and additional modules
- Lead generation program, with all leads going to signed partners
- Management of channel density to avoid margin erosion
- 100% channel focus, all deals will pass through signed partners

With StormShield, endpoint policies are enforced on each workstation, protecting them from hackers, malware or even users with admin rights. Moreover, these policies can be dynamically switched and changed depending on the connectivity context, the current user or the health assessment of the machine.
